Sashiko is an embroidery technique traditional to Japan and dates back to 1615. It was mostly used by working families as to make stronger more practical workwear. In modern times, we use it as a decorative method for quilting, homewares and clothing.
This design is printed with water soluble ink for you to sew over using sashiko embroidery thread to create a fun, festive Christmas panel that can be made into cushions, bags etc…
Do not steam iron or spray with water before sewing.
